Ashwin Palani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from SRM Institute of Science and Technology and an LL.B. (Hons.) with specialisation in Constitutional and Property Law from the School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. He possesses a strong foundation in public law, with a focused practice in government litigation.

His professional experience is significantly shaped by representing State authorities, particularly in writ and appellate jurisdictions. His areas of practice include service law, land and revenue matters, and regulatory disputes, where he regularly handles issues relating to land acquisition, patta, encroachments, and settlement proceedings.

Ashwin has extensive experience in writ litigation, contempt proceedings, consumer disputes, and labour matters, including gratuity claims before the Labour Authorities. He has also handled defamation matters and intellectual property enforcement actions, including cease-and-desist proceedings, and advises on litigation strategy in complex and high-stakes matters.

He has been actively involved in high-volume government litigation, having drafted and managed over 200 counter affidavits in writ petitions, along with more than 100 appeals and review proceedings across various judicial forums. His exposure extends to proceedings before the Supreme Court of India, including Special Leave Petitions, Civil Appeals, and Review Petitions. He has contributed to matters resulting in over 300 orders being disposed of or dismissed, reflecting strong procedural acumen and effective litigation execution.

In addition, as a registered Trademark Attorney (Reg. No. 49769), he advises on trademark prosecution, protection, and enforcement, complementing his litigation practice with intellectual property expertise.
