Dhanuesh holds a B.Sc. (EM) and LL.B. (Hons.) from the School of Excellence in Law, TNDALU, with specialisation in Criminal Law and Constitutional Writs. His early training includes experience at the office of the Additional Public Prosecutor, providing him with strong exposure to state-side criminal prosecution, procedural law, and appellate practice.

He focuses on criminal and constitutional litigation, regularly handling habeas corpus petitions, bail and anticipatory bail applications, public interest litigations, and prison-related matters including parole and suspension of sentence. His practice involves strategic invocation of Articles 226, 32 and 21 of the Constitution, with appearances before the High Court in matters involving personal liberty, police action, and administrative law. He also advises on appeals against acquittal (government side) and handles Section 138 NI Act notices and pre-litigation strategy.

His practice is grounded in a strong command of procedural and substantive criminal law, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), along with the Prisons Manual, Suspension of Sentence Rules and special legislations such as the Indian Forest Act, 1927. His experience enables him to combine trial strategy, constitutional remedies, and procedural safeguards to effectively protect individual rights.
